Create Your Own Puppet Play

Five-Session Workshop + Final Presentation

Puppetry is a contemporary, dynamic way to tell a story and have your voice heard. The workshop will lead participants in the crafting of their own short puppet play over the course of 6 sessions. The workshop will include the basics of dramatic structure, puppet construction and manipulation. The final session will be a presentation of the work created in the workshop.

The group will meet from 6 – 8pm on the following dates:

thu june 19
tue june 24
thu june 26

On Fri June 27, the final session will be a presentation of the created play as a curtain opener for Concrete Temple’s work-in-progress showing at 7:30pm
. Workshop registration includes free entry to this showing–PACKRAT 2!

Explore the world of movement and learn how to use your whole body to become a better puppeteer. Discover how simple concepts can be applied to physical storytelling and learn to collaborate as a unified ensemble.

This workshop is open to any experience level. Please wear movement clothes and be ready to move and play!
