To celebrate Spring Writes 2017 (May 4-7 in Ithaca) The Cherry will offer a special discount on Storm Country, our celebrated “immersive walking headphone play.” Called “beautiful” and “haunting” by the Ithaca Journal, Storm Country is based on the iconic 1909 novel of Ithaca,Tess of the Storm Country. Layering voice, ambient sound, and movement, The Cherry Arts’ Storm Country interweaves dramatized episodes from the novel with meditations on Ithaca’s railway history, its bygone businesses, its unusual houses, and the power of water to transform and to be transformed.
