This Saturday June 30th at 10pm, POP’d at The Cherry will be premiering at The Cherry Artspace! This pop-up dance club experience will entail music, movement, and merriment all night long in a safe, inclusive space. Ithaca’s top DJ’s, dancers, and entertainers will be featured at this provocatively sweet dance party.
You can jam out with DJ ha-MEEN – Ithaca, NY (hip hop/house/Latin) DJDJ (dancehall/soca/freshtrax) The Dutchess (jock jams/trap/dancehall) and Xaddy (dancehall/trap/freshtrax). Whiskey Tango Sideshow‘s Danielle Saint Velvet, Erin the Axe, Sizzlin’ Liz will bring burlesque into the mix. There will be drag performances by House of Merlot royalty; Dizzy DeScretion, Coraline Chardonnay, Kitana, and the queen house mother herself, Athena Merlot. All of this plus twisted acrobatic performance by Acrolette Dance and performances by Deja Ciaschi, Cadji Malone, and Regina “Paige Turner” DeMauro.
Celebrity bartender, Lindsay LeBlanc will be providing bespoke cherry mocktails, Bacchus Brewing Company beer, and Damiani Wine Cellars wines.
There will be raffles including a $100 gift certificate to Hare and Bristle, a $100 gift certificate for a tattoo with Phoebe Aceto of Here’s To You Tattoo, Emmy’s Organics snacks, two theater tickets at The Cherry… and more!

POP’d at the Cherry is the brain child of Jonny Tunnell of the Spirit Posse DJ Crew, producer/MC Mighty Mickie Quinn, and Cherry Arts Artistic Director Samuel Buggeln, who came together with the vision of creating a safe and inclusive space to celebrate movement, dance, and performance.
Proceeds from the evening will support the Barstander Intervention Program — training sessions that empower bartenders and nightlife workers to help prevent sexual assaults.
