Erica Steinhagen is an AEA actor, voice teacher and singer. Recent work: Natalie in The Ding Dongs at Gloucester Stage and The Kitchen Theatre. Darcy Rose, Blanca
Darcy Rose graduated from UCLA’s department of Theater, Film and Television with a B.A. in acting and lived in Los Angeles for many years working steadily in commercials, television and theater. Her television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Dinotopia and Without a Trace, as well as several national commercials, independent films and stage productions across Los Angeles theaters. Favorite Ithaca theatre credits include The Snow Queen (Robber Girl), White Rabbit Red Rabbit, and Rule of Thumb (Ana), all at The Cherry Arts. Susannah Berryman, Mother
Susannah Berryman has been a part of the Ithaca theatre world since 1980, as teacher, actor, and director. She has performed in or directed over sixty productions in the Finger Lakes area, with the Cherry Artspace, the Kitchen, and the Hangar Theatres serving as long-term artistic homes. Since retiring from a forty-year theatre teaching career at Ithaca College, she has continued to act, direct, coach, and mentor in theatre, also adding writing to her pursuits. Susannah would like to take this opportunity to celebrate all those who participate in the healing power of storytelling, and to thank our local theatres for continuing to provide us the opportunity of sitting in a room together and partaking in stories as a community. She hopes that, in one way or another, each of you feels your story is heard.
G-Quan Booker, the Dove
G-Quan Booker is a dancer, poet, rapper and actor. Through his work as a teacher of Hip Hop Arts, he has provided guidance to many youth in the upstate New York region as well as during his 6 months in Thailand. G-Quan is one of the founders of the Hip Hop group GCF (which stands for “Greatest Common Factor”). In the past few years, G-Quan has taught at the Community Unity Music Education Program, Jillian’s Drawers, The Finger Lakes Residential Center, as well at the Auburn Public Theater and Wells College. Most recently, he works with youth in the After School program at Southside Community Center, a historical center of the vibrant Black neighborhood that was part of the Underground Railroad in Ithaca, NY.
Mike Chen, the Hare
Mike Chen has an MFA in creative writing from Cornell, where he teaches learning strategies. He played Grant Mazzy in HOI’s 2022 production of “Pontypool” by Tony Burgess, and he was Jon in HOI’s 2023 production of “Marjorie Prime.” He is a member of Ithaca’s longform improv comedy group, The Bronze Medalists.
Meg Elliott, the Deer
Meg Elliott is delighted to be making her Cherry Arts debut. Recent Ithaca credits include Macbeth (Theatre Incognita). Previously she was based in Chicago. Stage credits include Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery and Noises Off (both at Metropolis Arts Center); A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theatre); Christina the Girl King (Cor Theatre); Top Girls (Arc Theatre); Request Concert (The Side Project) and The Unfortunates (Solotheatre Chicago). Film work includes the short Quiver and the web series Other People’s Children and Distant Learners You can also hear her voice work in The Onion’s A Very Fatal Murder and Cock and Bull’s podcast The Children of NYX. Robin Guiver, the Dwarf
Robin is an actor and movement artist, who relocated to Ithaca a year ago, after nearly two decades working in theatre and film in the UK. He has appeared as the lead in a number of award winning short films, and was a member of the original West End cast of the Royal National Theater’s production of War Horse, as both human characters and a horse puppeteer, before going on to take over the movement associate role on the production. He’s toured the UK and Europe, and performed at the prestigious London International Mime Festival, and was both professional cast and movement assistant in the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony. Some of his best know projects include Creature work on the recent Star Wars films, and Jurrassic World Fallen Kingdom; an appearance in season 12 of Dr Who; being the on set performer for Flounder and lead puppeteer in Disney’s live action film of The Little Mermaid, and look out for his name in the credits in the upcoming Wicked film adaptations! Robin originally trained in Lecoq’s style of actor created physical theatre at the London International School of Performing arts, specializing in mask work and animal movement. Dean Robinson, the Bear
Previous Cherry: White Rabbit Red Rabbit, George Kaplan, Felt Sad Posted a Frog, as well as voicing Storm Country, The Missing Chapter, and The Fan. Also in the Ithaca area, Dean has appeared in plays including The Cripple of Inishmaan, Swimming in the Shallows, The Chairs, Circle Mirror Transformation, Nora, Tribes, and The Children. Other area performances include Sirens, Perfect Crime, and Dancing at Lughnasa. Regionally, Dean has performed at A.C.T. (San Francisco), Trinity Repertory Theatre, American Southwest Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, and New York’s Public Theatre as well as performed in the international tour of Robert Wilson’s The Black Rider. He is a founding member of the critically acclaimed The Actors’ Gang where he directed and acted in multiple plays. Dean is a graduate of the Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University; he is currently an assistant professor of theatre at Ithaca College, where he teaches voice, movement, and acting.
Sylvie Yntema, the Lamb
Sylvie is delighted to learn and play with such a talented group of creatives! Previous Cherry: The Snow Queen, Felt Sad Posted a Frog, A Day, Trap Door, An Odyssey, Pursuit, The Wetsuitman, Voices of Ukraine, As You Like It. She has performed locally with Civic Ensemble, Homecoming Players, Hangar Theatre, Fitz&Startz Productions, and Clockmaker Arts. Sylvie studied BFA acting at The Mason Gross School at Rutgers University, is a graduate of the Actors Workshop of Ithaca, a Pilates instructor, and a massage therapist.
