The world premiere of Round Time is an invitation into old rhythms and new cycles. Morgan Mincer and Mara Neimanis, two generations of female aerialists, navigate common ground, dazzling heights, and the moment we now find ourselves in, with this gorgeous new Cherry commission.
After unforgettable showings at Hupstate and June Dance, the Cherry is proud to bring back International Lover, the bravura journey of an artist in pursuit of a dream. Lingelbach explores the relationships between mind, body, spirit, and Prince deep cuts in a bold and athletic theatrical experience. A piece that reckons with gender, relationships, addiction, identity—and how to become the International Lover.

Troy Lingelbach
Troy Lingelbach
Troy Lingelbach is a circus and performance artist based in Brooklyn. A staple of the NYC nightlife and variety scene, Troy has performed at House of Yes, Company XIV, The Box, The Stranger, The Red Pavilion, and The Slipper Room. Their work has taken them to Berlin (The Wintergarten), Lucerne (KKL), London (The Box, SoHo), Mexico City (FICA), and beyond. Troy’s work is informed by their background in musical theatre (Marymount Manhattan College), philosophy, dance, and gymnastics. Troy’s solo show International Lover, supported by Hupstate Circus, NYS Dance Force, and Cherry Arts is their first venture into long form work.

Morgan Mincer (She/They) is delighted to be making their Cherry debut in Round Time! This piece marks the second show Morgan has been involved in devising. She is excited as well as humbled by the opportunity to share it with you. Morgan is currently finishing their 3rd year of the Stella Adler Acting conservatory in NYC. Some favorite roles include the title role in Macbeth, Virginia Hascall in Decision Height, Alex in On the Verge, and of course, being a part of Us and Them (Aerial Investigations) also devised with Mara!
Mara Neimanis
Mara Neimanis
Mara Neimanis creates theatre in the air using suspended and mounted steel sculpture. Her work comprises writing, performing, and producing solo and ensemble aerial plays as well site specific aerial installations and performances. Last season, she performed her hit solo aerial show Air Heart at the Cherry. Based in Baltimore from 2006-2018, Mara was awarded commissions from the Robert F Deutsch Foundation, Maryland State Arts Council, California Institute for the Arts, The Baltimore Community Foundation, Gallaudet University, Teatro Abya Yala/ Costa Rica, and Pixar Studio’s development of It’s a Bugs Life. Mara is a graduate of the Dell’Arte School of Physical Theatre where she served as an instructor and company member for 8 years and is a guild certified Feldenkrais practitioner. Presently, Mara has a private Feldenkrais practice in Buffalo and teaches Physical Theatre/ Aerials at Niagara University.

Brin Schoellkopf
Brin Schoellkopf
Brin Schoellkopf (1997, Vermont) is a queer performance and visual artist based in Montréal (Tio’tia:ke), with a focus in contemporary circus and dance. In 2018 they graduated from l’École National de Cirque, and pursued a career as a performer and creator, working with pronounced companies such as The 7 Fingers, Cirque du Soleil, and Water for Elephants on Broadway. Brin is also a co-founding artistic director of People Watching, a performing art collective that blends the mediums of circus, dance and physical theater.
Alongside their career in the performing arts, Brin’s work has simultaneously filtered into filmmaking and photography, often using the body as a tool to focus on intimate forms of expression and abstract storytelling. The cross blending of these mediums has had a significant impact on their approach to creation and their ability to experiment with the essential dynamic between subject and viewer. Brin aspires to transition into more post-disciplinary work, and give focus to environments that are queering our culture.
Claire Mannle
Claire Mannle
Claire Marie Mannle is a partner and parent who lives on Gayogo̱hó:nǫʼ land (Central New York). Claire holds an MFA in Ensemble-based Physical Theater from the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater and a BA in Theater and French Studies from Smith College. She has directed, taught, and performed across the US and abroad.
Claire is interested in telling new stories in old ways and old stories in new ways. When she is not in rehearsal, she loves foraging, hiking, gardening, playing with dogs, and making children laugh.
