Inner Dialogue

Two of Ithaca’s most celebrated artists work with sculpture and collage
works by Domenica Brockman and Ariel Bullion Ecklund
March 27 - May 10, 2026
Cherry Gallery, 130 Cherry St, Ithaca

Inner Dialogue is an intuitive exercise in the creation of tangible objects from feelings and abstract thoughts that reside in the recesses of the mind.

Drawn from faint memories, introspective moments, and sensory experiences, indistinct elements coalesce to form a dialogue. Two voices — Brockman’s geometric observations and Ecklund’s imagined environments — intertwine to create a visual language in both two and three dimensions.

Domenica Brockman owns, manages and curates the fashion collection at Petrune Vintage, a clothing boutique, as well as art shows in the showroom space, Petrune Gallery. Domenica is also co-founder of the Cayuga Arts Collective, a nonprofit for artists in the Finger Lakes region.

Ariel Bullion Ecklund is an independent curator and multidisciplinary artist. Ariel worked as a freelance photographer and in the Department of Preservation and Conservation at Cornell University Libraries. She has curated and mounted over 100 physical exhibitions during her 17-year career as a gallerist at Corners Gallery. In 2025, Ariel partnered with Trade Design Build to aid in the curation and management of their new gallery space at TRADE.
